Kirk Backs Press Campaign

Madeleine Kirk is supporting the "Fight the Fire Cuts" campaign

Prospective Lib Dem MP for York Outer, Madeleine Kirk, has added her backing to The Press' Fight the Fire Cuts campaign.

She joins local Lib Dem MP Phil Willis (Harrogate and Knaresborough) and Lib Dem leader and Sheffield Hallam MP Nick Clegg in backing the campaign.

"I'm delighted to be backing this campaign," Madeleine said. "A financial settlement that amounts to a cut to our fire service's budget could be devastating to our area. I hope the government listens to local people's concerns and gives York and North Yorkshire the fair settlement it deserves."
